PRACTICE SCHEDULE

REGULAR Practice Schedule beginning Monday May 17, 2010:

• 4:00 – 5:00 | Shark Pups
  (two ½ hour time slots – one at 4:00 and one at 4:30)
• 4:30 – 5:25 | 8 & Unders
• 5:15 – 6:25 | 9-10s
• 6:15 – 7:55 | 11 & Up

Please Note the following:

1. All swimmers will be assessed and advised (by our head Coach- Mike McGee) on where individual swimmers will be best placed for optimal swimming practice.
2. The first time slot has been established for novice swimmers (from all age groups). This 40 minute practice will allow the coaches to work closely on our future champions.
3. All training sessions will start with a 10 minute land exercise routine and warm up. This is not optional section of the training program.
4. Please have your swimmers at practice 10 minutes before the start of practice. This allows for changing of clothes, socializing and other important preparation activities.
5. Bathroom breaks during practice should not be necessary. Please encourage your child to use the bathroom before practice starts.
6. Thank you for your cooperation in making our practice fun and enjoyable for all. The schedule that was discussed at the last Board Meeting was as follows.

Practice location

All practices are held at the San Rafael High School pool. Street parking is limited, so we encourage parents who stay for practice to find legal spots on Mission Ave or use the school's front (3rd Street) lot. Do not park, wait, or drop swimmers off in front of the red curb on Mission Avenue.

For drop-offs, you may pull into the parking lot next to the Gym on Mission Avenue and your swimmers can proceed down the covered walkway directly to the pool gate. If there's a problem (e.g., canceled practice), we will try to inform parents and swimmers using our A-frame sign at the beginning of the covered walkway.
Please be considerate of our residential neighbors during night practices and in the early mornings during meets.

Please don't use the locker rooms

The school has asked us NOT to use the locker rooms or interior hallways during our practices. Instead, we have the use of the interior restrooms (access from the northeast corner of the pool deck) and the unisex shower room (accessed from the northwest corner of the pool deck). The showers are nice and warm, but no changing allowed inside! (It is unisex AND there is a window from the coach's office.)
